Arrival by train and bus

Between Hamburg main station and Lübeck main station regional trains leave every 30 minutes. From Lübeck Hbf (or coming from the direction of Rostock) you can take a regional train to the next stop Lübeck-St. Jürgen (journey time 6 min), from there it is a 10-15 minutes’ walk to the campus of the TH Lübeck .

Alternatively, you can take the bus from the main station, which runs directly to the FH. Bus lines 1 and 9 (stop Technische Hochschule, Ziel Hochschulstadtteil and Grillenweg) and line 32 (final stop Stephensonstraße) will take you to the FH. Line 32 is an express bus (16 min drive), it runs every 30 minutes.

Arrival by plane

Although the city of Lübeck has its own airport, it offers only very few connections. In particular, there are no inter-German connections.

Thus, traveling by plane is only possible via Hamburg Airport. From there take the S-Bahn (line S1) to Hamburg main station and then take the train (see: by train and bus). For the journey from Hamburg Airport to Technische Hochschule Lübeck you should allow about 2 hours. Unfortunately, a bus transfer between the airport and Lübeck is no longer available.

Traveling by car

Lübeck can be reached from the west and the south via the A1 motorway and from the East via the A20 motorway. From the direction of the city center in the north of the FH, the FH campus is only accessible via the Mönkhofer Weg . An access to the so-called "Hochschulstadtteil" is not possible because of barriers used for traffic calming. During the day, the parking situation on campus is sometimes tense, so the use of public transport is recommended.
