Master Programs
With a master's degree, the knowledge gained from the bachelor's program can be further deepened and career opportunities increased. Master's degrees at universities and universities of applied sciences are fully equivalent - those who successfully complete the Master's program are thus entitled to a doctorate.

- Mechanical Engineering
Our three-semester master’s program Mechanical Engineering program in Lübeck is characterized by its broad engineering content, practice-integrated projects and a high degree of flexibility in the choice of electives. A special aspect of our degree program is its international orientation.
Based on a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, the Master's program deepens and expands the knowledge and skills already acquired in engineering.
Our classes place a special focus on innovative solutions, sustainability and digitalization. Our wide range of electives offer students various course selections based on their professional focus. Therefore, we offer you the opportunity to study abroad at our partner universities (International Design Engineer).
You can apply with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (210 ECTS). With a Bachelor’s degree of 180 ECTS you can apply for conditional admission. In this case, you take courses of 30 ECTS from our Bachelor’s degree in addition. For a successful application, your cumulated grade point average should not exceed 2.5 (German grading system). European applicants can also apply with an unfinished degree. Please contact us for details.
All our classes in this degree program are taught in English. The thesis project is carried out in the German industry. Thus, good knowledge in English and basic knowledge in German are required.

- Biomedical Engineering
Medical technology is a cross-sectional discipline that combines the fundamentals of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and electronics, computer science as well as mechanics and material sciences with medicine. Lübeck has been a center of medical technology for many years, both in industrial development and production as well as in research and education. Thus, graduates of the program have ideal chances for an attractive job.

- Medical Microtechnology
Shape the future of healthcare technology and study in two countries. The German-Danish program offers the opportunity to combine the fields of healthcare, engineering and life sciences.
In the program, which is unique in Germany, students learn the fundamentals of medical and microtechnology in practice and theory. In an environment of science, industry and clinics, they develop innovative therapeutic options.Medical Microtechnology is a joint degree program of Technische Hochschule Lübeck with the University of Lübeck and the University of Southern Denmark and is conducted completely in English. - Water Engineering
he international master's degree program in Water Engineering (WEM) is a modern, consecutive degree program with a focus on water engineering as a subfield of environmental engineering. The program is designed as a full-time study and has a duration of four semesters, during which 120 credit points (ECTS) are acquired. The program is conducted entirely in English and is aimed at students with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, renewable energy or comparable disciplines.
