Application Procedure

All applicants who have acquired their university entrance qualification outside the Federal Republic of Germany apply via uni-assist, the work and service center for international student applications. uni-assist checks your study qualification for the chosen degree program on behalf of Technische Hochschule Lübeck.

There are deviating regulations in the following cases:

Applicants who have an assessment test at a preparatory college, a certificate of equivalence with grade calculation about their education abroad from the Ministry of Education, or a European Baccalaureate certificate (Zeugnis der Europäischen Reifeprüfung) do not apply through uni-assist, but follow the normal application process for domestic prospective students.

There is another special regulation for the following Bachelor degree programs

Civil Engineering
Urban Planning
Business Administration

The following applies to these degree programs: Before you apply via the uni-assist portal, you must register on the website "hochschulstart.de". After registration, you will receive a two-part identification number consisting of BID (applicant ID) and BAN (applicant authentication number). With this BID and BAN you must then register in the uni-assist portal and complete your application there (further steps on the hochschulstart.de website are not necessary, the application must only be completed in the uni-assist portal).
