Our master's degree program Applied Information Technology is addressed at all those who successfully completed their bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field of study and would like to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of Cyber-Physical Systems.
You will learn how to conceptualize, design, build and configure complex distributed industrial systems. The main focus of the program is information technology content, complemented by economics and business administration.
This interdisciplinary approach is an especially important and remarkable feature of the Applied Information Technology program. After completing your studies, you will not only be qualified for further management tasks, you will also be able to think outside the box and become familiar with interdisciplinary work.

You will work on solutions for challenging tasks, both on your own and in a team. An individual orientation of your studies is our priority.
In the study of Applied Information Technology, you can set personal priorities in accordance with your interests through an individual combination of a variety of elective modules. In addition, you have the option to integrate modules from the entire university into your studies.
In order for you to be able to comfortably act in a global working environment, all courses are offered in English from the second semester onwards.

Start of the master program: | Every semester Generally Bachelor graduates of Electrical Engineering (excluding ISE-graduates) can start their study in the summer semester or in the winter semester. ISE-graduates can start their study program in winter semesters only. All other students are recommended to start their study program during the summer semester. |

Formal prerequisites: | To be qualified for admission to this Master's degree program you need a Bachelor degree (210 ECTS) in Electrical Engineering with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. If you have a Bachelor degree (180 ECTS) in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent first academic degree from a different university with a grade point average of 3.0 or better a student may be admitted with obligations.
